Bekah Unsworth - Painter, Theatre Artist
Bekah Unsworth lives and works in Mesa, AZ. She moved to Arizona after completing an MFA in Scenic Design from Pennsylvania State University and currently works as the scenic charge artist at Phoenix Theatre Company.
As a painter, she mainly works with watercolors and inks in a distinct illustrative style, often drawing inspiration from nature and history. Her paintings frequently feature animals, the night sky, and women.
Her work and education as a theatre artist, both as a scenic designer and a scenic artist, informs her passion for storytelling and communication as a visual artist. Additionally, it has equipped her to work in large scale and to be confident when approaching new and unfamiliar materials.
