"Reclaiming The Night" 2024

Reclaiming the Night is an 8" tall saguaro statue created for the 2nd annual Cactus Collective at the Scottsdale Fashion Center. It pays homage to the 4 female constellations recognized by the International Astronomical Union: Andromeda, Cassiopeia, Berenice, and Virgo, by picturing them with joy, power, and dignity. The form was provided by the Cactus Collective, I carved and painted the surface, created the flowers from polystyrene, and carved and painted the base.
