Reclaim the Night

For women, there is a duality in the night sky. The moon is often personified, even revered, as the feminine divine. The real life experience of most women is that the night equals danger, and women who dare to explore it are perceived as either helpless or promiscuous or some combination of the two. I choose to represent women with power and dignity, haloed by la luna, unafraid of the dark.
