The Neighbors and Other Pests: A Short Story Collection is a playful watercolor series that seeks to reexamine our relationship with common urban "pest" animals. I subvert the process of illustration, illustrating pictures for stories that have not been written. I invite the viewer to imagine the life of the creature pictured beyond the single image, to connect with them in the way we connect with other humans: by knowing their stories.
